| I've noted the key after the tune title where I know it. Since this is a round robin format, most fiddles are in standard tuning, GDAE. There's quite a mix of local folks and visiting folks and listeners, sometimes dancers. We've evolved into playing quite a few tunes from the Portland Collection of contra dance tunes, although there is quite an eclectic mix. Just to mention it here, these tunes were quite new to many folks. So, you'll hear a gradual build up of comfort and understanding as the recordings play. |
